WICHITA CRICKET CLUB

SEASON 2004 CODE OF CONDUCT COMMITTEE LEAGUE FORMAT SCHEDULE

League Format

I. The ten teams of the Tulsa league will be split into two zones.  Each team will play with the teams in its zone and the top four teams in each zone will compete in the playoffs (quarterfinals, semifinals and finals)-
North Zone - WCC, OU, OSU, OKC and GCCC
South Zone– GTCC, TCA, LRC, JCC and CACA

II. The league will follow a Round Robin format i.e., each team will play twice with all the other teams in its Zone or Conference with one being a home game and the other being an away game. After all league games the points will be tallied and top 8 teams from both the Zones will have the honor of competing in the playoffs.
The playoffs will consist of quarterfinals, semifinals and finals.  The quarterfinals venue will be decided based on the points of the teams playing the match.  The team with more points will have a home ground advantage.

III. Incase of a tie in points, head to head record and then run rate will be considered

IV. Semifinals and Finals will be held in Wichita, Kansas on one weekend.  If Wichita teams manage to get their second ground then semifinals will be of 30 overs else they will follow the same format as last year

V. Thursday midnight is the deadline for confirming the game.

VI. Games will start at 10:30 AM without any exceptions. Team being late will be fined an over per every ten minutes after the start time.  For teams traveling over 3 hours, the game should start no later than 11:00 AM

VII. Some Rules
1. Kookuborro Tuf pitch balls will be used for the games.   The cost of each ball is $17.50 a piece.  All the balls will have the league name on one side of the ball.
2. Whites are required (Earlier it was decided that teams can wear their chosen colored uniforms but after careful consideration the idea was rejected due to some concerns).
3. 30 overs league games (max. 6 overs/bowler).

VIII. A well maintained ground and Lunch is host team’s responsibility.
1. Boundaries need to be marked clearly
2. Wide ball marker should be on both sides. Any thing down the leg is a wide ball.
3. Scoreboard is a must.  If the home team is not able to provide a scoreboard then the home team will be penalized two overs for that game.
