The site has been designed as a
test development site for an on-line physical diagnosis curriculum. At
this time only the Cardiac Exam of this curriculum has been developed. In
the future, additional modules will hopefully be added.
This site is designed to teach physical diagnosis
to medical school students at various levels in their education. Learning objectives for
each level are clearly stated, with links to the related material. An introduction to the
cardiovascular system, history taking in the
cardiac exam and physical for the cardiac exam, including observation, palpation, percussion, and auscultation are
covered.
In addition, information and links to additional resources are
included. These resources not only supplement the core education material,
but also allow comments
for future improvement and enhancement of this WWW site.
All of the sound files are in *.wav (wave)
format.
All of the video files are in *.ra (RealVideo) format.
All of the information contained in these WWW
pages is either in the public domain or licensed to
I would especially like to thank James Carter, MD
and Dean Thomas Nosek, PhD for their advise and
support in making this WWW site possible.
I hope you find this site helpful in augmenting
your physical diagnosis training.
