Design

To be items that people would consider purchasing, Apple made the iPod series convenient in size. For the iPod, the designers had to make it small enough to fit in a pocket, while have enough memory to fit songs, videos, and photos. The current three iPods include the iPod, iPod Nano, and iPod Shuffle.
The iPod comes in two sizes: the 30 GB and 60 GB models. While being the largest of the iPod series, these models remain small enough to fit in a pocket. The 60 GB model is about 0.12 inches wider, and weighing almost an ounce heavier than the 30 GB. The 60 GB model, also, has room for twice as many songs (approximately 15,000). The 60 GB can be used, instead, to describe a possible 150 hours of video or 25,000 photos. The clear, 2.5 inch, color display is LCD with a LED backlight. Lastly, the iPod can take up to a 20 hour battery life.
The original iPod design remains more popular than the iPod Nano and Shuffle. The iPod Nano was developed in lieu of the old iPod Mini. The iPod Nano is extremely tiny: 3.5 x 1.6 x 0.27 inches and weighing 1.5 ounces. Purchasers can get the 2 GB (500 songs) or 4 GB (1,000 songs) iPod Nano. The iPod Shuffle was created as a durable music device. It is used primarily for those who run or exercise. The availability for memory in the Shuffle is the least: either 512 MB or 1 GB.
