Hello, and welcome to my 'How To Make Your Own Buddy Icon' page! Whether you and your mouse are newly acquainted or you're an app-savvy techno-whiz, the information found here will hopefully be helpful for everyone! Below are links to the different how-to pages, along with brief explanations of what kinds of info can be found on each one. If anything on any of the pages is unclear or confusing, please (!) email me and let me know. Icon Basics - This page was written for those folks who have little or no in-depth experience with computers. It contains detailed instructions for making a basic, single-image icon with software that's installed by default in Windows. When in doubt, check here first. Animated Icons - If you want an icon that's animated, that switches between text and a picture, or anything else you can think of where the icon changes at all, this is where you should look. The links below will remain inactive until I complete the pages for the respective topics. Blue Border - If you're a perfectionist (who, me? ;-) or are trying to make an icon that blends into the AIM window, it's nice to be able to get that blue border out of the way. This page will help you do that. (Until I get this page made, here's a link to the old page with mediocre instructions.) |
