There was much fun to be had this weekend, despite my brother nixing some dinner plans. Beeradvocate.com's Belgian beerfest was a real treat. I haven't fully reviewed my beers, and probably never will - but there were some clear highlights. Deus was quite interesting, the bier de Champaign, was much as the name sounds. The Rochefort line was interesting - Kate and I sampled 8 and 10.

I spent a lot of time investigating saisons. Fantome's entire line was interesting with sour apple, and herbal flavors in their diverse line of light and refreshing brews. When some folks torn the wheat beers and whites for summer drinking, I'll head to the farmhouse and grab a saison. No one would try to stick a lemon in those.

CBC's benevolence was also tasting quite nice. Yay Will Meyers!!!

It's election day and my mind is a flutter, unfocused on work, and uneducated on local politics.  In a few scant moments i think that I've concluded that I will have to vote for Benson (who has some crooked Cabletron ties) over Lynch who's economics seem inconsistent.  Lynch claims that he'd like to repeal state property taxes, which are used for education and instead fund education with an increased cigarette tax.  He also claims to be opposed to an income or sales tax.  The numbers just don't add up.  I'll support NH's republican machine and keep the people from away (mass. democrats) from taking over my state.
