Goals
In order to mollify the inefficiency in the transportation on and around the Case Western Reserve University campus, a system must be installed that will provide the following:
An economical and consistent system that links the university campus and its surroundings
Access to transportation 24-hours a day with minimal traffic lag time and construction delays
Increase use of the system by students, staff, and general commuters
Minimal toll to ride the transport system
Leisurely and scenic trip around town that will attract tourist and prospective students
Proposal
The Maglev Monorail team submitted the project proposal on October 5, 2004 to President Hundret and Mr. Ballentine requesting permission to design, develop, and implement an automated maglev monorail system on the campus of Case Western Reserve University and its surrounding communities.
