Monorail Overview

The Maglev monorail team wishes to propose a unified and economical transportation service to connect CASE with the surrounding community. At the present time, there are several shuttle services that cater to the needs of various travelers venturing through University Circle , Little Italy, Coventry , Cedar-Fairmount neighborhood, and Shaker Square . Currently, the three main services are coordinated by Case Campus Services, University Circle, Inc., and the Greater Cleveland RTA. All of these shuttles, whose destinations are within a 5 mile radius, contain varying schedules, inconsistent tolls, and disparate stops that will bewilder a novice traveler who might have to transfer busses several times along his/her particular route.

The Maglev Monorail will provide an environment-friendly, energy-efficient, and economical alternative to the current system. The unique monorail design will add elegance to the CASE campus, attracting tourists and other scholars to the city of Cleveland . This addendum to the university master plan will aspire future students and guests to attend and contribute greatly to the Case Western Reserve University in the coming years.
