Welcome to the Middle Eastern Cultural Association (MECA) here at Case. Our goal is to bring Middle Eastern culture to the Case community through our many events throughout the year. We are dedicated to preserving and promoting the Middle Eastern culture to the community of Case Western Reserve University. This includes regular events to share the customs as well as the wonderful and diverse foods, from tabouleh to shawarma to hummus, of the Middle East.

MECA is a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and community members at Case Western Reserve University organized to promote and share the culture of the people of the Middle East with the students, facutly, and staff of the university, as well as society in general.. MECA will bring students together who have an interest in the culture and society of the Middle East, and will educate members of our university and community specifically about the customs and realities of the Middle East. We strive raise awareness about the region and provide students with an accurate alternative resource of information to the mainstream media.
