Philanthropy
With the motto "Do
Good" you can tell that philanthropy is at the heart of Delta Gamma. The Fraternity's international
philanthropy is Sight Preservation. Delta Gammas all over the world raise
money and awareness for programs aiding the blind and visually impaired. Collegiate
chapters hold 'AnchorGames' as their major source of fundraising for Service for
Sight, as well as many other smaller events. DGs happily participate in
Panhellenic Saturdays for Service and other groups' events. Here at Case we are fortunate
to be so near by the Cleveland Sight Center, where we volunteer weekly. We
also hold AnchorSplash in the fall in which teams of students compete in unusual
aquatic challenges and vie for top prizes.
Recently, our chapter has formed a partnership with The Alcazar, a nearby elderly living community. Sisters interact with the residents by joining them for daily teas and teaching "Chair Yoga" classes.
During the Synchronized Swimming event of AnchorSplash, Lambda Chi wows the crowd with their man-made Delta Gamma letters.

Every year we spend time at Highbrook Lodge, a summer camp for the visually impaired, where we help out by painting and landscaping. Sisters also pursue their
own philanthropic goals by participating and volunteering in other
opportunities, such as runs & walks, AmeriCorps, Case Dominican Republic Initiative Volunteer Experience,
and socially active clubs such as Engineers Without Borders.
