Special thanks to our advisor Paul Salipante for racing with us and Amber Warner for her excellent pictures! :-)

Race Review - February 22, 2004
Warm weather and cold mud greeted racers at the 3rd installment of the cyclocross race series.  A very nice entourage from Case Western Reserve attended the race.  It was decided during the pre-race meeting that whomever finished last of the Case Western group would win a very special prize just picked up that very morning, it was something not typically found among road kill.

The course was run backwards for an added twist and it was discovered that the course length is 1.05 miles.  Horse racing fans will note that this is not even a mile and one furlong.  So I guess if your horseracing it makes it one mile and sixteen rods.  Whew....I'm glad that's cleared up.

The one hour event had Todd Caldwell first, Shawn the bod Adams second and Johnnie to tall Tullis third.

The 3/4 hour race had Ryan Wayne of Case Western Reserve take first, Paul Kinney placed second and Storm'in Norm Kreiselmeier third.

The 1/2 race was taken by Brian Ramsey, Lowell Jensen second and fifteen year old Ryan Williams hit pay dirt for show.

Style points went to Mike Griffith for the fabulous endo at the finish line bump.

Oh, let's not forget Chase Kuntz who brought up the rear for Case Western Reserve and his big prize---a very fine dark brown road kill mink, for being a good sport he was more than thrilled to trade the mink for a snappy Vulture's Knob hat.

Springs almost here....the maple trees are running!
