Fall 2004 Lindsey Wilson College Mountain Bike Race

Mike Griffith, Don Yungher, Christian Miller, and Heather Ferguson went down to southwestern Kentucky for a little fun in the mud. We set up camp in Green River State Park Friday night. By 1am, the rain started, and it didn't stop until about 7am (I'm still not sure if that time was eastern or central). Just enough to drench the course. The course itself was a 9 mile loop of sweet singletrack with 2 crazy descents and enough tough climbing to bring a mule to its knees.

In his first race ever (and only a week after getting a mountain bike), Don finished a very strong 8th place in the C class, which would have actually been 7th if the end was marked properly. Christian pulled in a solid 10th place finish in the C race. And Mike stomped out a 15th place finish in the B race.
