Many of our members are also loyal subjects of the Barony of the Cleftlands. The Cleftlands is the Cuyahoga County chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism. The SCA is a multinational organization also dedicated to the study and reenactment of Medieval cultures. The Cleftlands meets every Wednesday evening at the Shore Civic Center in Euclid, Ohio (check the Cleftlands site for directions as well).
.
Our biweekly meetings will resume this fall. The dates will soon be decided and the location will mostly likely be Wade Fireside. These meetings will sometimes include classes in garb creation, cooking, games, dancing, illumination, and much more. Sometimes we will have members of the Cleftlands here to teach. Also, at most meetings, anyone interested may practice medieval style of combat and fencing under the instruction of experienced fighters. Currently we are practicing with boffer weapons to learn the style while not needing the time or resources to obtain armor. Always we come equipped with various board games from the Middle Ages. Also we like to plan various trips to study things medieval. Occasionally we will attend SCA events in the area and host several events of our own. Overall we are looking forward to an active and enjoyable semester!
.
Please feel free to browse our site. Our mailling list is back so please email bjf10@po.cwru.edu if you wish to be added.
