Hello!

My name is David Johnson, and I am the Secretary-General of the 2007 Cleveland National Model United Nations competition. For this conference, my staff and I are working to bring you a fast-paced, exciting, and educational experience centering around the increasingly tense events in the Middle East. A crisis situation encompassing all four bodies represented at the conference will demand of each participant the utmost in diplomatic skill and topical knowledge.

This competition will be my first as Secretary-General, though I have gained considerable experiential knowledge both as a delegate and chair at numerous competitions. I plan to utilize these experiences to help ensure a smooth-running, enjoyable experience for all participants. To that end, I have also assembled an excellent executive staff that will bring specialized experience to each aspect of the conference.
