Case Ballroom Blitz

For several years the Case Ballroom Dance Society hosted Ballroom Blitz, an amateur and collegiate dancesport competition. Ballroom Blitz was a great opportunity for all of the dancers in NE Ohio to show their talent and enthusiasm for Ballroom and Latin Dancing. The community embraced the competition and Case Ballroom Dance Society as part of their own family. The local USA Dance chapter (formerly USABDA) participated in, volunteered and donated costumes, shoes and even money to the club for the event. Colleges as far away as Delaware attended. And it was a highlight of the winter competition season. Unfortunately, we have been unable to host the competition is almost a decade. That loss has been felt by the whole community but especially Case BDS.

Therefore, it is with great pride and excitement that we invite you to take part in the new Case Ballroom Blitz, Pro/Am and Am/Am DanceSport Showcase.

We will be hosting Blitz on the campus of Case Western Reserve University for the first time in its history! This is an opportunity to come and showcase your dancing while supporting the efforts of the Case Team, enjoy old friends, meet new ones, and dance dance dance!!

Please join us on Saturday, March 3, 2012 to revive an old event and begin a new tradition!!
