We didn't bring any wood with us this time, but we were able to gather enough that was above the snow to make a decent fire. I was kind of proud of myself, actually. The thing that amazes me about making fires in the winter is how fast you have to keep throwing wood on to keep them going. Of course, if you think about it for half a second, that makes rather a lot of sense. But I'm not very bright.
