Lookit them there dots. Boy howdy, I sure do love me some dots.

First off, you need to delete anything you currently have regarding MetaMap. All your folders in your addons folder, all your Saved Variables files.

Next, you need to download THIS version of metamap: http://www.ageofrebirth.com/VinceSt...etamapMario.zip which has a single file edited by our own Mario to fix some bugs regarding this guide.

After that, you need to download this file: http://www.ageofrebirth.com/VinceSt.../MetaMapEXP.lua You will need to right-click save-as that link, otherwise it fucks up. I don't know why.

Take that file. Put it in your World of Warcraft\Interface\Addons\MetaMapCVT folder

Log into WoW
Open your Map.
Click the "Options" button.
Click General Options/Help
Click the Modules tab
Check all those boxes(You probably don't have to, I just know sometimes one of these boxes fixes it and I don't know which)
Click on the Database tab.
Click on Import Modules
Click on "Import" under User Files.
Click on "Usernotes"

After that, your maps for almost every zone should be populated by dots and lines, detailing you on what to do. If they don't, repeat all of that. If they still don't, go to Options and click on "Show All" next to usernotes. If they still don't, turn off any mods that affect your map(like Cartographer) and see if it shows up. If they still don't, http://www.ageofrebirth.com/VinceSt...ads/MetaMap.rar is my metamap as it is currently installed on my computer, so I know for certain that works. To install it you need to do the following.

Delete everything regarding metamap(again) and put all the folders+files in them into your Interface\Addons\ folder.

Put all the single files(ones that aren't in folders) that are present when you first open the .rar into your WTF\Account\AccountName\SavedVariables\ folder.

If for some reason you're STILL having problems, log into your game and go down your addons list and one-by-one disable them and see which one is fucking up your game. I've done a clean, no-addon check on my end and it works perfectly fine without any enabled(and with all of them), so if something is wrong after going through all that work, another mod is fucking with your install and there's nothing I(or anyone else, really) can do about that.

New stuff: This covers (currently) 1-58 and 60-70. Now, i'm not EXACTLY sure what levels each circuit will cover. I'm not going to mark down what level i'm at during each circuit, because you'll probably level at a different rate because you'll grind more or less. That said, here's a rough idea of what level you should be.

Level: Zone(Circuits)
12-15: The Barrens (Circuits 1-2)
15-16: Stonetalon Mountains (Circuit 1)
16-20: The Barrens (Circuits 3-4)
20-21: STonetalon Mountains (Circuit 2)
21-22: Ashenvale (Circuit 1)
22-23: The Barrens (Circuit 5)
23-25: Stonetalon Mountain (Circuit 3-4)
25: The Barrens (Circuit 6)
25-26: Thousand Needles (Circuit 1)
26-27: Ashenvale (Circuits 2-3)
27-29: Thouand Needles (Circuits 2-3)
29-30?: Hillsbrad Foothills (Circuit 1)
30: Arathi Highalands (Circuit 1)
30-31: Stranglethorn Vale (Circuit 1)
31-32: Thousand Needles (Circuit 4)
32-34: Desolace (Circuits 1-3)
34: Dustwallow Marsh (Circuit 1)(Not even really a circuit)
34-36: Stranglethorn Vale (Circuits 2-3)
36-37: Arathi Highlands (Circuits 2-3)
37: Alterac Mountains (Circuit 1)
37: Thousand Needles (Circuit 5)
37-38: Dustwallow Marsh (Circuits 2-3)
38-40: Stranglethorn Vale (Circuit 4)
40-41: Badlands (Circuit 1)
41-42: Swamp of Sorrows (Circuits 1-2)
42-43: Stranglethorn Vale(Circuit 5) DOES IT EVER END?!
43: Dustwallow Marsh (Circuit 4)
43-44: Tanaris (Circuit 1)
44-46: Feralas (Circuits 1-3)
46: Azshara (Circuit 1)
46-47: The Hinterlands (Circuit 1)
47: Stranglethorn Vale (Circuit 6)
47-48: Searing Gorge (Circuits 1-2)
48: Swamp of Sorrows (Circuit 3)
48-49: Feralas (Circuit 4)
49-50: Tanaris (Circuit 2)
50: Azshara. (Circuit 2)
50: The Hinterlands (Circuit 2)
50-51: The Blasted Lands (Doesn't follow the Circuit system)
51-52: Un Goro Crater (Circuits 1-2)
52-53: Burning Steppes(Circuit 1)
53: Azshara (Circuit 3)
53: Felwood (Circuit 1)
53-54: Winterspring (Circuits 1-3)
54-55: Felwood (Circuits 2-3)
55: Silithus (Circuits 1-2)
55-56: Western Plaguelands (Circuit 1)
56-57: Eastern Plaguelands (Circuits 1-2)
57-58: Western Plaguelands (circuits 2-3)

AZEROTH ENDS HERE. Abandon everything in your quest log, delete your old crap from your bags and head to Outland. If you don't have The Burning Crusade expansion stop being a douchebag and go buy it.

58-??: Hellfire Peninsula (Circuit 1)(Not complete, but it's in the guide because I fucked up when seperating the notes between the Release version and my version and I don't feel like fixing it)

This also covers Mulgore, the tauren starting area. Because i'm doing this as a tauren. I'm not gonna list it there, because there's 5 races and they all start in different places. You CAN go and start circuit 1 in the barrens the second you hit level 12.

The text version is now hosted here: http://www.ageofrebirth.com/WoWStuff/Braxis/ Thanks to Bent Wookiee for making it!

Two quick things I noticed: Missing notes I had showed up on this HTML version, meaning if you're missing a note you can cross-check it to the HTML version to see what's missing. This doesn't neccisarily mean ALL missing notes are there, since I didn't check all of them, but a very quick check(I have to leave like, now) showed all missing ones.

Secondly, the HTML version does not(yet) include outland.

QUESTIONS!

"Is this a speed guide?"
The outlands section, section 60-70 isn't. The rest? Yes, it is. It's about as fast as I can get it, tuned by me personally. It's very similar to Joana's guide, but it's edited in places where he made very obvious efficiency mistakes. And there are a lot of them. After playing through using his guide a few times I honestly don't see how nobody has dethroned him.(In fact, he just edited a small part of his guide that trimmed seven hours off of it. SEVEN. HOURS.)

"What do I do if I can't do a quest?"
See, this is problematic for the outland section. I'm a demonology warlock. I'll be honest and say there's very little I cannot kill. I honestly don't know which of these quests certain classes can or can't solo. With the exception of two Wanted Poster quests that are hard as fuck, everything should be relatively easy. Failing that, get a partner. Failing that, grind out about 20 thousand XP and you'll make up for lost experience. That number does not account for future quests in that chain. For the 1-60 section? If you can't do it I dunno.

"Ugggggggh this quest is fucking stupid do I really have to do it?"
See above. If you don't want to do a quest, look it up on thott to see if it's a chain. Grind experience accordingly.

"What's with all the typos?"
What are you, the fucking typo police?

"How do I get rid of all that information on the right hand side of my map?"
Right-click the question mark at the top of your map next to the options button. Be a little more explorative guys, click the buttons metamap comes with and try shit out. Maybe you can come up with something helpful for yourself! Worst case scenario you have to spend 3 minutes re-downloading and installing the addon and 15 seconds re-importing my notes.

"Actually, I like that side list of notes! It's cool, like an at-a-glance step by step thing!"
NO NO NO. I didn't even know that thing existed until I was halfway through terokkar forest. It is horribly out of order and from what I can gather there is no way to put it in order after the dots are made. The list either sorts alphabetically(useless) or by when dots were added. After i'm done with a circuit I go back and delete dots, add new ones and all kinds of shit for all the circuits up until that point in an attempt to optimize the circuits. That puts that sorted list all fucked up, don't use it. Really, don't.

"Are you twinked? Do you have the best gear possible and enchants for your 1-60 guide?"
Not at all. The only thing I did was mail my character a bunch of 16 slot bags and a pair of level 5 white shoes enchanted with running speed. I will not be buying any gear on my way to 70, the only gear i'll use is what I got from quests or drops. For outland? I was decked out in epix.

"What professions did you pick?"
Since I decided to not buy any gear ever, I picked up Herbalism and Alchemy. Strength, armor and nice healing potions are a godsend when your gear is crap.

"Are you a hunter? Are you a warlock? Are you some ultra class that my mage cannot possibly compete with?"
I'm a Tauren Druid. And I am the worst druid ever. I've spent more time corpse running on this character than I have spent on all my other characters combined, I say that with no exaggeration. All classes(With maybe the exception of Prot warriors) and specs should be able to follow this guide with no problem.

"I keep seeing "If you're not level 31 grind to it". I've been level 31 for two bars and I haven't even turned in quests yet, how could you possibly be so far behind? Am I grinding too much?"
For the 1-60 section, I never log out in an inn. I sometimes go days at a time without playing and so I generate way too much rested experience. For someone that plays every day, they wouldn't have as much rested XP as me and so i'd be ahead of them even though tehy did everything correctly. So, I opted to just go without rested any experience at all. The "If you're not 31, grind to it" reflects where I was level 31(and some bars in, maybe) in my notes from previous 1-60 runs, but didn't make it there on my druid with no rested experience.

"I have Cartographer, and it conflicts with Metamap, so I disable cartographer and I either A) Get errors out the ass B) Lose functionality for Mods or C) Metamap refuses to work"
Thanks to Tapeta, we now know that installing !!!!StandAloneLibraries from www.wowace.com/files is what you need to do to fix all that shit. As far as I can tell, it fixes all three issues. Rejoice!!

NOW THE IMPORTANT PART
The maps and circuits are nigh-unreadable if you turn on all circuits. Go to Options >> Notes Filter and turn off all of the notes aside from the circuit you are currently on. Circuit numbers are from top-to-bottom in the notes filter. Yellow square = Circuit 1, Red Square = Circuit 2, and so on.

I'll be happy to answer any questions you have unless they're covered in this post in which case I will either ignore you or mock you depending on my mood.

Anyway to get those circuit order notes on for the 0-25 circuits like you have in the Outland zones? It's hard to tell which order to do the barrens circuits.

Go to create a new note somewhere. The order the icons are in from left to right at the top of the new note thing is the order the circuits start in. Yellow Square is circuit one, red square is circuit 2 and so on. You never change zones in outland like you do in the old world, so there's no criss-crossing. You go from Hellfire(Which I don't have mapped) to Zangarmarsh, to Terokkar, to Nagrand, to Blades Edge Mountains to Netherstorm, then to Shadowmoon(which I also don't have mapped.).

OniKun posted:

He changed the order he did STV, as well as other minor tweaks all the way up to level 45.

This looks pretty awesome. When you get to the later levels, I'll definitely use this to start the hunter that I've always wanted.

Which leads me to a question: When will the next part be out?

Very nice work I appreciate this. My guild has a few new players and are always asking for help with what to do next in the Outlands, etc. and I was going to show them this thread. Of course I'll credit you for it, and if there are any problems with this I will immediately take it down upon request. Most guild members are goons anyway, just a select few in need of help. Thanks again!

Whenever it's done, I guess. I honestly have no idea. Unlike this release i'm gonna do it one zone at a time or five levels, whichever comes first. I'm probably not gonna play much until Monday.

You can give it out to anyone you want, the only clause is that I don't offer support anywhere other than here or my guild forums, neither of which are public. After it's finished and i've done 1-70 and finished mapping out all the outlands stuff I skipped i'm probably gonna launch a website for it or something where anyone can ask whatever they want, regardless of guild/forum. But that's only going to happen when it's totally finished, though.

Thanks a ton for this, Vincent. I followed the guide when you started your other thread, and it was simply amazing. Very nice work on the 60-70 content, and I'm sure the new low level stuff will be equally awesome.

Quick question though. I just finished Netherstorm a few days ago, and noticed that your guide just kind of stops in a few places. A few chains are incomplete, and some quests are left off. Also there's no glorious dots in Shadowmoon Valley. Do I just have an old version, or are you not planning on doing 100% completion on those zones? It's not a huge deal since I was 70 before I even finished Blade's Edge. But for finishing up all the quests for extra money in these zones, this guide makes things a thousand times easier.

I'm pretty sure I finished Netherstorm out completely. I kept getting called out of it to go raid, though, so I might have fucked up somewhere. I don't think I did(and I did put out a bunch of versions am I might have had the wrong one up all this time), but it's possible. I didn't do shadowmoon valley because...well, I haven't been there.

I had planned on finishing up Outland(adding Shadowmoon and Hellfire Peninsula) with this guide. I'm still working on exactly how it's gonna added, though, since we can go to outland at 58. Not sure what quests/zones I should skip.

My best guess is a conflict in versions. I had forgotten to update my Metamap on my last upload, but I just updated metamap and re-uploaded my notes. Try it now?

Speaking of which, it now covers 1-27, which is all the way through Ashenvale.

Is there a way to add a Metamap note to a location you're not actually standing on? I was hoping to convert Joana's leveling guide to a Braxis-style map, but I was hoping to just make my circuits on the map each time I first arrived in a zone, instead of one-at-a-time.

Ctrl+Click.

Also if you look at my guide, so far everything 12-27 has been almost a carbon copy of joana's, with a couple of quests dropped because they're either too hard or just not worth bothering to do. Mine deviates from his exstensively from 35-45 and 50-60, though, but it's better just trust me okay =(

Probably long, honestly. I burned out of WoW recently and i'm not playing anywhere near as much as I used to, i've also got a couple of console games I want to play, I started playing EQ2 again and i'm looking for a job.

I've been logging on for a couple of hours at a time, but it's generally not long enough to get much done. Hell, with all the new quests they've added those couple of hours at a time are generally just me recalculating efficiency and routes.

I'm gonna keep plugging away at it, though. I'll probably power through it this weekend and do a really big update.

Alright, I updated it again with 29-36. There are a few reasons this took a lot longer than I expected to get out.

First, metamap is exporting 936 notes. However, now when I try to import the same file to make sure the numbers match up, it only imports 710 notes. I have absolutely no idea why the fuck it's doing that. I also can't really check to see what the problem is, since that would mean deleting all my notes and then re-importing. I'm not about to re-add 226 notes, though, so it's up to you guys to find discrepencies.

Which brings me to the other problem. With the new version of Metamap, if two notes are too close together, it deletes the newest one without any kind of error the next time a logout happens. This isn't too big of an issue, since the majority of the time it's just at city locations where the note says "FLY HERE TURN STUFF IN GET FOLLOW UPS MOVE ON", but today it happened at the nessingwary camp's second turn-in note, which said that you needed to go to booty bay/grom gol for turn ins, then undercity to pick up a quest and finally to Arathi Highlands to start the next circuit. Obviously that's a problem if you don't know where to go after a circuit ends. You can tell a note got deleted when you see a line going to a location and it stops, like there should be a note there but there isn't one. So far i've found 3 such instances, but I am pretty certain those aren't the only 3. IF you guys find a spot that has this issue, please please report it here and let me know so I can re-add the notes that are missing. Just say what circuit it is and what step it follows and I should be able to get all the information re-added with ease.

Lastly, last week Nick at Nite aired Fresh Prince of Bel Air all night every night for a week and I kept getting distracted.

This is probably the most buggy release i've ever had, a mess of issues are cropping up and i'm not sure how to deal with all of them. Nevertheless, this is the most salvageable release i'm able to do right now. Just let me know where you find issues and i'll fix it asap.

That may very well be because disabling Cartographer disables a library or dependancy the other addons have. Check and see what dependencies they use, and what dependencies cartographer uses. If that's they all share one, delete cartographer(I'm sorry but it's the right thing to do), delete the dependencies and libraries they shared and redownload them all. the WUU should make it easy.

I seem to have fixed the problem without doing something similar to cutting myself

I am not noticing anything missing except mabye you don't have any notes in Hellfire Peninsula save 1. When i imported the file (and updated my previous one) it said something like 710 notes added and ignored 226 duplicate ones.

I didn't actually start doing the guide until I was in Zangarmarsh, so Hellfire Peninsula isn't finished yet. I won't have hellfire peninsula done until my druid is almost 59.

What did you do to fix the cartographer problem? A few people have had it and just gave up trying to fix it.

Rock on. I just rolled on a low-pop server, and I'm basically running one of each type of crafter from the ground up, so this is proving invaluable.

A couple of notes though, if anyone's going through Mulgore with your guide:

The quest Sharing the Land is much easier to complete via the two camps south of Bloodhoof village. They're set right near the first circuit, out in the open, and you're much less likely to pull too many mobs at once and get slaughtered.

There's a rare mob called Ghost Howl that sort of circles Thunder Bluff, big white wolf, who drops a cloak that starts a quest. He's even more of a pain in the ass to find than Arra'Chea, though.

And there's a quest giver just SE of Red Rocks who wants you to kill bristlebacks, might as well pick it up when you go to speak to the oracle on the last circuit for the bonus XP.

Amazing work all around, thanks for the time you're putting into this.

Your guide reawakened my dream of having most of my characters at 60+. And with this i'll easily pump 2 levels a day and actually make it come true.

I seriously can't thank you enough.
