The Development of Non-Natural Nucleosides as Chemosensitizing & Chemopreventive Agents

Dr. Anthony J. Berdis, Assistant Professor of Pharmacology at Case Western Reserve University, has devoted his research efforts towards exploring the mechanism and dynamics of precise and pro-mutagenic DNA synthesis.

His research concentrates on mechanistic enzymology of DNA replication and DNA repair. Studies focus on the elucidation of the mechanism and dynamics of polymerization fidelity utilizing transient kinetic methodologies, site-directed mutagenesis, and medicinal chemistry techniques.
